Seneca is a city in Grant County, Oregon, United States. It is located in the Blue Mountains about 23 miles (37 km) south of Canyon City , on U.S. Route 395 , on the edge of the Malheur National Forest . [ 5 ]
The camp has five campsites, a dining hall, health lodge, chapel, maintenance building, trading post, field sports range, two cabins, a campfire ring, a camp master cabin and a home occupied by the full time camp Ranger and his family. Camp Soule is used for short-term camping, family camping, training, day camps and various other activities.

Common recreational activities in Mount Jefferson Wilderness include hiking, backpacking, camping, cross-country skiing, wildlife watching, and mountain climbing on Mount Jefferson and Three Fingered Jack. There are some 190 miles (310 km) of trails in the wilderness, including a 40-mile (64 km) stretch of the Pacific Crest Trail. [6]
The park was named after Oswald West, the 14th Governor of Oregon and the man who led preserving Oregon's beaches for public use. A memorial marker for Matt Kramer, a journalist whose articles helped shift public opinion to preserve the beaches, sits at the trail divide between Short Sands beach and Cape Falcon.
The populated place of Odell Lake, Oregon, is on the lake's southeast end at and was once a station on the Southern Pacific Railroad's Cascade Line between Crescent Lake station and Cascade Summit [ 3 ] [ 4 ] [ 5 ] The place was also known as Odell Lake Resort, and today is the site of Odell Lake Lodge. Farewell Bend State Recreation Area is a state park in Baker County, Oregon, United States, about 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Ontario.Farewell Bend was the last stop on the Oregon Trail along the Snake River where travelers could rest and water and graze their animals before the trail turned north through more rugged country to follow the Burnt River.
