Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad-Sadiq Husayni Rohani (Persian: محمد صادق حسینی روحانی; 16 July 1926 – 16 December 2022) was an Iranian Shia marja'. [1] Rohani resided in Qom. He claimed to have gained ijtihad from the grand Ayatollah Abu al-Qasim al-Khoei, at the age of 14.
Sadiq al-Shirazi is married and has four sons (Ali, Hussein, Ahmed and Jafar). His sons are all clerics. His son Hussein plays a key role in running al-Shirazi's office. He spreads his father's teachings, on a number of media outlet platforms including four satellite channels. [15]

Hashim al-Qazwini (died 2009) was the son of Muhammad-Sadiq al-Qazwini. He was a jurist. [26] He is buried in the Abbas shrine. [27] Murtadha al-Qazwini (b. 1930) is the son of Muhammad-Sadiq al-Qazwini. He is a renowned jurist, poet and orator. He gives lectures in the Husayn shrine every Thursday night.

Sadiq Fakir was born singer and he was also considered as a folk singer. He too sang the prominent poets of Sindh like Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, Sachal Sarmast Shaikh Ayaz and Ustad Bukhari. Al-Modarresi began his religious education in the religious seminaries of Karbala, at the age of thirteen. He actively sought his religious studies under the auspices of many high ranking scholars, such as Sheikh Hasan al-A'lami, Sheikh Muhammad al-Karbassi, Shaykh Jafar al-Rushti, Shaykh Muhamamd-Husayn al-Mazindarani and his uncles, Sayyids Muhammad, Hassan and Sadiq al-Shirazi.
He is the tenth of ten children. All of his brothers are clerics, and his brothers Muhammad al-Shirazis and Sadiq al-Shirazi are marja's. His mother is the great-granddaughter of Mirza Shirazi, the pioneer of the Tobacco Movement. His nephew, Mohammad Taqi al-Modarresi is also a marja'. [6]
