Clock-face scheduling in commuter rail has been first put in place on the line Worb Dorf–Worblaufen near Bern in 1964. In 1968, the Goldcoast Express on the right side of Lake Zurich followed. In 1982, clock-face scheduling was introduced all over Switzerland.
