All the cone valves move when the corresponding key is pressed. Therefore, in order for a pipe to sound in a cone valve chest, two events must occur: A stop must be activated so that the the stop channel is filled with wind. A key must be pressed, opening the cone valves under all the pipes for that note, so that wind is admitted to any pipe ...
Valves of this type using a cylinder rather than a cone are sometimes encountered, but using a cone allows a tight fit to be made even with moderate manufacturing tolerances. The ball in ball valves rotates within plastic (usually PTFE) seats. Hands free infrared proximity sensors are replacing the standard valve. Thermostatically controlled ...
Valves stop (or regulate) the flow of liquids or gases. They are categorized by application, such as isolation, throttling, and non-return. Isolation valves temporarily disconnect part of a piping system to allow maintenance or repair, for example. Isolation valves are typically left in either a fully open or closed position.
An Aspin valve consists of a cone-shaped metal part fitted to the cylinder head in an internal combustion engine. Aspin valves were first patented by Frank Metcalf Aspin in 1939, [1] although the idea was devised before this time. [citation needed] The valve rotates to provide the opening and closing necessary for intake and exhaust.
Tilting-disc inconel check valve Check valve symbol on piping and instrumentation diagrams. The arrow shows the flow direction. Vertical lift check valve. A check valve, non-return valve, reflux valve, retention valve, foot valve, or one-way valve is a valve that normally allows fluid (liquid or gas) to flow through it in only one direction.
Hollow jet valves are a type of needle valve used for floodgate discharge. A cone and seat are inside a pipe. Water flows through an annular gap between the pipe and cone when it is moved downstream, away from the seat. Ribs support the bulb assembly and supply air for water jet stabilization. Ring jet valves are similar to fixed cone valves ...

The description at the end of a cone valve is not correct. I think what he is referring to is a ball valve, which has a ball with a hole through the middle of it. A cone valve Has a cone within a larger cone shaped housing. The flow is controlled by moving the inside cone up and away from the housing.
