Six years later, Bishop R. Walker Nickless merged all of the county's parishes and created Holy Trinity Parish. The last Mass was held in Sacred Heart in 2019 when the new Holy Trinity Church was opened. [3] The pew ends, altar, Rose window, and the top-tier stained glass windows from Sacred Heart were installed in the new Holy Trinity. [4]
The Beaverdale Neighborhood Association hosts many events throughout the year. The neighborhood hosts an Easter egg hunt in the spring, a music festival each summer, and a holiday lights contest in the winter. The Beaverdale Fall Festival parade occurs on the third weekend in September.

The school grew to include elementary and secondary grades. The last church building for the parish, which still stands on the east side of downtown, was built in 1886. In 1889, Bishop Cosgrove decided that a new, larger church should be built. The parish was out-growing the old church and there was a desire for a structure with more of a cathedral image.
