Gorgoroth is a Norwegian black metal band based in Bergen. It was formed in 1992 by guitarist Infernus , who is the sole original member remaining, and has released nine studio albums. Gorgoroth are a Satanic band and have drawn controversy due to some of their concerts, which have featured impaled sheep heads and mock crucifixions.

Einar Selvik (born 18 November 1979), also known by his stage name Kvitrafn ("white raven"), is a Norwegian musician known for being the drummer of black metal band Gorgoroth from 2000 to 2004, and for fronting the Nordic folk project Wardruna, founded in 2002.
Under the Sign of Hell was released on 20 October 1997 on Malicious Records. [4] It was re-released in 1999 on Century Black, and again in 2005 on Season of Mist.Agonia Records released the album on LP in 2005, limited to 1000 copies, and Back on Black Records reissued the LP again in 2006.
The first Gorgoroth album to feature Gaahl as main vocalist was Incipit Satan, recorded from July–October 1999. The music was entirely written by guitarists Infernus and Tormentor , while the lyrics were written by Infernus and Gaahl; the latter having written the lyrics for the title song and "Ein Eim av Blod og Helvetesild".
