The California Law Revision Commission (CLRC) is an independent California state agency responsible for recommending reforms of state law. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] The agency was created in 1953 and advises both the Governor and state legislators on reforming state laws.
The California Public Records Act (Statutes of 1968, Chapter 1473; currently codified as Division 10 of Title 1 of the California Government Code) [1] was a law passed by the California State Legislature and signed by governor Ronald Reagan in 1968 requiring inspection or disclosure of governmental records to the public upon request, unless exempted by law.
In addition the commission entertains requests for deadline extensions or for exclusions by substance categories, substance location or weight. [7] New legislation was published in the official journal in July 2011 which supersedes this exemption. Note that batteries are not included within the scope of RoHS.
