Here's a SQL query I hacked together to find "List of foo" names that redirect to something like "List of foo (A–F)". 27 results, and only 13 are of the desired form (where the redirect title is just the base list name). Granted, that only covers lists that are split alphabetically, but still, it seems pretty low.
