The Pine-Richland High School's mascot is the Ram. The Rams baseball, girls soccer, hockey, gymnastics, and volleyball teams were all state champions in the 2005–2006 school year. There were five state championship teams in 2006: girls volleyball, girls soccer, baseball, boys tennis doubles, and gymnastics.
Walker, the son of former major league pitcher Tom Walker (1972–77), [3] was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he grew up outside of Pittsburgh in the nearby North Hills suburbs and attended Pine-Richland High School. He graduated in 2004. He played catcher on the baseball team and a wide receiver for the football team.
