Amanda Donohoe (born 29 June 1962) [1] is an English actress. She first came to public attention at age 16 for her relationship with pop singer Adam Ant , appearing in the music videos for the Adam and the Ants singles " Antmusic " (1980) and " Stand and Deliver " (1981) during their four-year relationship.
Adam and the Ants began performing around London while Ant acted in Derek Jarman's film Jubilee in 1977. They were initially managed by Jordan from the SEX boutique on Kings Road . His debut as a recording artist was the song " Deutscher Girls ", which featured on the film's soundtrack, along with "Plastic Surgery" which was performed in the film.
It was fairly common for Ant to record new versions of his pre-1980 compositions for the B-side of his singles. For this single, an old Ant song dating back at least to May 1977 was used.
