Line 6 is a new metro line that commenced operations in 2024, traversing the South New Area of Changchun. This line connects Changchun West Railway Station with the Jingyue district, following a route along the southern corridor of Line 3 to alleviate passenger congestion on that line. Line 6's color is pink.

In 2014, Shenzhen Metro Group purchased 70 trains (420 carriages) from CNR Changchun Railway Vehicles for the future Line 7 and Line 9, in which Line 7 will use 41 while Line 9 will use 29. [7] The first train arrived in mid-March 2016. 17 trains will assume operations when the line first opens to passengers, departing every 6–8 minutes. [8]
Changchun Railway Station (North) is a subway station on Line 1 and Line 4 of the Changchun Subway in China. It is located in Kuancheng District in Changchun under the building of Changchun railway station northern square, hence the name. The station first opened on 7 May 2012, when Line 4 was put in operation.
