In 2002, the Singing River Bridge (Patton Island Bridge) opened, forming a new Tennessee River crossing 1 mile (1.6 km) west of Wilson Dam. As part of a long-term "Patton Island Corridor", SR 133 was shifted to this new six-lane bridge. The move necessitated construction of an overpass on Wilson Dam Road on the TVA Reservation.
MS 619 begins on Singing River Island at the main gate of the former Naval Station Pascagoula (now Coast Guard Station Pascagoula). It heads west for a couple hundred feet before crossing a nearly 2.6-mile-long (4.2 km) bridge over Pascagoula Bay, which first curves northward for the majority of the span before curving eastward.

NS Pascagoula. Naval Station Pascagoula (NAVSTA Pascagoula) was a base of the United States Navy, in Pascagoula, Mississippi.The base officially closed 15 November 2006. The base's property, on Singing River Island in the Mississippi Sound at the mouth of the Pascagoula River, was formally transferred to the Mississippi Secretary of State's office 9 July 2007.
