Krishnaraja Wadiyar II (1728 – 25 April 1766 [1]), was the eighteenth maharaja of the Kingdom of Mysore from 1734 to 1766. He ruled as monarch during his entire rule, first under the dalvoys , and then, for the last five years, under Hyder Ali .
By 1779, Hyder Ali had captured parts of modern Tamil Nadu and Kerala in the south, extending the Kingdom's area to about 80,000 mi 2 (205,000 km 2). [40] In 1780, he befriended the French and made peace with the Marathas and the Nizam. [45] However, Hyder Ali was betrayed by the Marathas and the Nizam, who made treaties with the British as well.

Sir Kumarapuram Seshadri Iyer (also spelled Aiyar) (1 June 1845 – 13 September 1901), was an Indian advocate who served as the 15th Dewan of Mysore from 1883 to 1901. He was the second longest serving dewan of Mysore after Purnaiah.
