The Quehanna plateau is home to the Quehanna Trail, a 73.2-mile (117.8 km) loop hiking trail, about 34 miles (55 km) of which are in Quehanna Wild Area. The trail was built in 1976 and 1977 with help from a federally funded jobs program, the Young Adult Conservation Corps, and the Pennsylvania Conservation Corps.
It is alongside Atlantic City International Airport [2] in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, [3] 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Atlantic City, and covers over 5,000 acres (2,023 ha). The Technical Center consists of laboratories, test facilities, support facilities, the Atlantic City International Airport, and a non-commercial aircraft hangar.
The 1,215-acre (492 ha) natural area is in the center of Quehanna Wild Area. It was once home to two jet engine testing cells, when the area was a research facility for Curtiss-Wright Corporation from 1955 to 1960. [2] [3] [1] The tract was originally known as simply Wykoff Run Natural Area.

The Egg Harbor Township Nature Reserve is a 220-acre nature preserve located in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. The reserve features an arboretum, 6 miles of hiking trails and a lake used for fishing and kayaking. [1] The reserve is used for various events. The 917-acre (371 ha) natural area is located on the northwest edge of Quehanna Wild Area. [2] It was originally known as Paige Run Natural Area but was later renamed in 1975, after Marion E. Brooks, a local environmentalist.
