Matthew 5:30 is the thirtieth verse of the fifth chapter of the Gospel of Matthew in the New Testament and is part of the Sermon on the Mount. The version in Luke is also called the Parable of the Pounds. In both Matthew and Luke, a master puts his servants in charge of his goods while he is away on a trip.
