Walled Lake Consolidated School was built in 1922 at 615 North Pontiac Trail, and included all grades and a high school. The school housed about 200 students from the 52 square mile district. In the late 1940s, enough elementary schools had been built in the district to allow the Consolidated School to become a junior/senior high school.
