Faisal bin Abdullah Al Saud (Arabic: فيصل بن عبدالله آل سعود, romanized: Fayṣal bin ʿAbdullāh Āl Saʿūd; born 23 July 1978) is a member of the House of Saud, one of the grandsons of Saudi Arabia's founder King Abdulaziz, and was head of the Saudi Arabian Red Crescent Society.
Faisal bin Abdullah Al Saud (Arabic: فيصل بن عبدالله آل سعود, romanized: Fayṣal bin ʿAbdullāh Āl Saʿūd; born 13 May 1950) is a retired Saudi Arabian politician and businessman who served as the Saudi Arabian minister of education from 2009 to 2013 in the administration of King Abdullah, his maternal uncle and father-in-law.
Prince Faisal is a member of the Saudi royal family. A son of Prince Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, he was born on 1 November 1974 in West Germany and was educated in the US. [3] [4] He studied business administration at King Saud University. [5] He served as an adviser at the Saudi Arabian Embassy in the US from 2017 to 2019. [3]
Abdullah bin Faisal was the founder of Al Faisaliah Group, which was established in Jeddah in 1971. [16] He also owned the largest dairy farm in Saudi Arabia. [ 17 ] In addition, he founded Abdullah Establishment for Trading and Industry in Jeddah in 1978 [ 18 ] and the SIGMA (Saudi Investment Group and Marketing) company in 1979.
Faisal's maternal grandfather, Abdullah bin Abdullatif Al Sheikh, was one of Abdulaziz's principal religious teachers and advisers. [ 12 ] [ 13 ] Faisal had an older full sister, Noura, who married her cousin Khalid bin Muhammad , a son of Abdulaziz's half-brother Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman .
Abdullah bin Faisal was the acting secretary general between 1975 and 1977 at the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu immediately after established by King Khalid in 1975. [ 11 ] [ 2 ] Then, he was appointed secretary general of the royal commission in 1987. [ 12 ]
Prince Faisal is the son of Fahd bin Abdullah [1] and is a great-grandson of Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman, half-brother of King Abdulaziz. [2] He has a bachelor's degree in political science from King Saud University, and a master's degree in management, public policy and communication in the area of administration from Emerson College.
Faisal bin Fahd Al Saud (Arabic: فيصل بن فهد بن عبد العزيز آل سعود; 1945 – 21 August 1999) was the president of Youth Welfare in Saudi Arabia from 1975 to 1999. He was a member of the House of Saud , a son of King Fahd , and one of the grandsons of Saudi's founder King Abdulaziz .
