The Blue Lantern Corps is a fictional organization appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, beginning in 2008 in Green Lantern vol. 4 #25 (January 2008) by Geoff Johns. [1] Their powers, similar to those of other organizations based around the emotional spectrum, are fueled by the emotion of hope .
The character was originally codenamed Kid Devil and was the sidekick to fellow superhero Blue Devil, and wielded similar powers by way of a suit. Eventually, the character would later adopt his current code and act as a member of the Teen Titans shortly after acquiring demon-like metahuman abilities.

Hal Jordan was created in 1959 by writer John Broome and artist Gil Kane and first appeared in Showcase #22 (October 1959). Hal Jordan is a reinvention of the Green Lantern concept and is a member, and occasionally leader, of the Green Lantern Corps, as well as a founding member of the Justice League.
