As time passed the problems were fixed. My 2006 Saab 9-3 with luxury package and moon roof has had zero problems in 18 months at nearly 17,000 miles. But by that point the car had been built for over 5 years and the problems were worked out. The point is if you like the car enough and want to take a chance, buy it.
I am in the market for a new car with the intention of keeping it for long term use (thinking at least 10 years). I am very interested in the Altima 2.5s CVT sedan, but wife is a little worried about long-term reliability of Nissan cars. A little bit of history: A few years ago I bought a used Nissa Altima 1995.
tason67 Member Posts: 36. February 2001. I had an earlier post about the shoddy quality of my 1996 Dodge Stratus. In addition to TWO head gasket repairs before 50,000 miles (the first at 24,000 miles!!!!), I also had a power steering hose around 20,000 miles. I had new pads, rotors and new tie rods at 55,000 miles.
Mercedes-Benz SLK Reliability. I am thinking about getting my first convertible ever. The car at the top of my list was the SLK 350 until I started reading in various forums and editor's ratings that the SLK, along with most other Mercedes vehicles, rate at the bottom of the list on reliability and repairs. I thought a hardtop convertible was a ...

Next, to get the overall rating, they don't just average the rating for the 16 components. They compare the reliability ratings to other cars of the same year. If the car is below average compared to other like-aged cars, it gets a low rating. If it is better than average, it gets a high rating. Take the '06 Ford Expedition as an example.
I have been looking at the 2007 MDX in comparison with with the Volvo XC90. I think the MDX is a better car, cooler tech, better drive, but the new styling is really hard to warm up to. The grille is just so ugly. My wife likes the looks of the XC90 and I would tend to agree. But the reliability ratings for the Volvo is atrocious.
Audi A4 Reliability. fkuciapa Member Posts: 12. January 2007. Just wanted to share my frustrations with the quality and reliability of Audi A4 1.5T Quattro which I bought in 2000. The car is 60000 miles and I am ready it call it quits. Here is why.
Chevy's are crossed off my list (my family has owned 3 and been nothing but trouble) and I am also not a huge fan of Fords but might consider. My budget is 10-15k, with a little wiggle room if I can get a good deal on financing. I'm trying to stay under 60k miles, the lower the better. My major must-haves are AWD or 4WD and reliability.
The reason Nissan's overall reliability is below average at JD Power and associates is because vehicles like the Armada, Titan, QX56 and Frontier are below average which brings nissans reliability down. Nissan is getting rid of the Armada this year and infiniti is the QX56 and probably the Titan next year. If they do, their overall reliability ...
