Like you, I am a non-smoker--my thoracic surgeon says that I am n example of the new face of lung cancer. I started chemo (cisplatin/alimta) in March 2015 and only ended up having 3 of the 4 sessions because of the amount of side effects that I was having and because I was allergic to two of the best anti-nausea drugs.

Stage 2A and lobectomy of upper right lobe. I had my surgery June 21, 2010. I find that if I try to hurry or breath fast I will get a shortness of breath. I found it is easy to control by stopping what I am doing and taking some deep breaths, blowing it all out a few times and my breathing gets back to "normal".
