Charlie Sutton (3 April 1924 – 5 June 2012) was an Australian rules footballer who represented Footscray in the Victorian Football League (VFL).. Although he served the club for many years as coach and committee man, he is perhaps best known for captaining the Bulldogs to their first VFL premiership in 1954.

He was Vice President Of the WBFC (Western Bulldogs Football Club) Board from 1996 to 2001. Ray Baxter was a Director of the Forever Foundation (est. 1999) and was also Chairman and Trustee of the Western Bulldogs Society (Bequests). Baxter died on 11 November 2024, at the age of 84. Terry Wheeler (born 13 March 1955) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for and coached Footscray in the Australian Football League. Wheeler played as a defender during his 157-game career for Footscray from 1974 to 1983. The following season he joined VFA club Williamstown as captain-coach.
After retiring from VFL football, Donald was a scout for Footscray and coached junior football clubs. He was selected on the half-back flank in the Western Bulldogs Team of the Century in May 2002. Donald died on 8 November 2003 after a long illness, and was posthumously inducted into the Western Bulldogs Hall of Fame in 2012.
In Whitten's last game as a player (and captain-coach), he gave a famous speech at three-quarter time at Western Oval to inspire his troops; the Round 5 game against Hawthorn in 1970 would see Footscray clinch the win by 3 points.
