After Rebecca takes Shiki outside in embarrassment, Happy is captured by a member of a street gang. While Shiki battles the gang, Happy is freed and transforms into a pair of blasters that Rebecca uses to defeat the gang's leader, revealing that Happy was given a mechanical body to survive a traffic accident from Rebecca's childhood.
Upon arrival, Shiki's group discovers the robots' deaths by Ether depletion, as well as video evidence that their infection was an act devised for Shiki to escape with Rebecca and Happy.
