The University of Central Asia (UCA) (Russian: Университет Центральной Азии) is a secular, non-profit, research university in Central Asia. It was founded by an international charter between the governments of Tajikistan , Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan in partnership with the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in 2000.
Students could apply to four universities. [1] The chairman was John Fulton, Baron Fulton, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Sussex. Also on the committee was Geoffrey Templeman, the registrar of the University of Birmingham from 1955, and later the chairman for six years in the late 1960s. [2]
To apply to university, students must submit a single application via UCAS's online Apply service. The application itself requires the student to register to the service, giving a "buzzword" if applying through a centre, fill in personal details, write a personal statement and choose up to five courses to apply to, in no order of preference.
