The Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy (ALETA) is the flagship law enforcement training facility in the U.S. state of Arkansas. Operated by the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training, ALETA provides training to all law enforcement agencies in Arkansas free-of-charge.

Located in Batesville, Arkansas, the college was founded in 1872 and is the oldest independent college in Arkansas. [6] [7] It was founded by Isaac J. Long who served as its first president. He was succeeded by his son E. R. Long and then by a Mr. Cleland. [8] Morrow Hall was built in 1873 [9] as the first permanent building of Arkansas College.
It works to provide free daycare for up to 54 of the children of students. [2] In 2015, the college started a 13 million dollar project to combine three of the school's centers: Harry L. Crisp Center, the Burdette Center and the Aircraft & Metals Engineering Center.

It is now one of the state's largest community colleges, enrolling 3,000 students annually in credit programs and an additional 3,800 students in non-credit programs. Tuition at NPC is less than half that of Arkansas' universities. [3] The name of the college is derived from its location adjacent to Hot Springs National Park.
