Squirrel's New Year's Resolution is a 2010 Children's picture book written by Pat Miller and illustrated by Kathi Ember. It is about Squirrel who wants to make a New Year's resolution but initially doesn't know what it is (her friend Bear explains it to her), then helps her friends (Skunk, Mole, Turtle, and Porcupine) with theirs but is unable to think of one for herself.
Squirrels is a programme with aspects imitating Scouts for much younger, infant children (aged 4-6). [2] Squirrels make a simple promise to suit members' young ages, wear neckerchiefs in group colours, have award badges, have short meetings with early finishing times and are taught moral lessons (The Scout Law) through games and stories. Little Grey Rabbit is the lead character in a classic, eponymous series of English children's books, written by Alison Uttley and illustrated by Margaret Tempest, except for the last five, illustrated by Katherine Wigglesworth. [1] They appeared over a forty-year period up to the mid-1970s to great acclaim, and gave rise to a TV series in 2000.
On the next page, the bear sits on a rustled patch of ground, wearing the red pointy hat. A squirrel enters and asks the bear if he has seen a rabbit wearing a hat. The bear answers negatively and defensively, implying he ate the rabbit and ending with "Don't ask me any more questions." The squirrel exits, leaving the hatted bear sitting alone.
