Hidden Lake is a lake on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska, formed by an ancient channel of the Kenai River. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] It is located entirely inside the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge . The lake is deepest at its southeast end, with depths up to 148 feet (45 m).
Hidden Lake is off designated trails but can reached by way a trailhead off the Cascade River Road from Snoqualmie National Forest. [3] The distance from the trailhead to the lake is 4.5 mi (7.2 km) one way to the overlook and another 0.8 mi (1.3 km) rock scramble through a boulder field to the lakeshore. [4]
