Brexit: The Uncivil War (simply Brexit in the US) is a 2019 British drama television film written by James Graham and directed by Toby Haynes. [3] It depicts the lead-up to the 2016 referendum through the activities of the strategists behind the Vote Leave campaign, that prompted the United Kingdom to exit the European Union, known as Brexit. Brexit: The Movie received over 1.5 million views on YouTube by 23 June 2016 (the date of the referendum). [2] The film received mixed reviews from critics. Paul Baldwin writing for The Daily Express, a pro-Brexit newspaper, called it a "powerful" exposure of the lack of accountability within the European Union. [6]
A smaller pro-Brexit march was held in London on the same date.
