The series first previewed on the Canadian network Treehouse TV with the episode "Pirate Treasure" on September 11, 2004. [1] Its official debut on Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. block followed on October 11, 2004. [2] The fourth season wrapped production in 2010 and finished airing on Nick Jr. on July 12, 2013. [3]

The song was originally released in 2005, on the first season of The Backyardigans. It aired on the show's 11th episode of the same name. It was later released in the album The Backyardigans along with other songs from the show.
