Tomlinson Run State Park sits on 1,398 acres (5.7 km 2) along the small Ohio River tributary of the same name. This state park lies near the foremost tip of the panhandle, in Hancock County . This is the only state park in West Virginia that offers overnight accommodations in a yurt .
Tomlinson Mansion is a historic home located at Williamstown, Wood County, West Virginia. It was built in 1839, and is a two-story, L-shaped brick building with a slate -covered gable roof. The front facade features a small, pediment -like roof above the front door that is supported by four rectangular columns.
Initially developed as a state forest in 1926. One of West Virginia's first CCC camps was established here in 1933. The largest of West Virginia's state parks, it contains the 11-acre (4 ha) Watoga Lake. A historic district containing the park's 103 CCC resources is listed on the NRHP.
