Petrofina was a Belgian oil company. It merged with Total in 1999 to form TotalFina , which after subsequent mergers has changed its name back to Total. In the United States, Fina's former refining and marketing operations are now owned by Delek US .
When it was founded, it was called the Petrofina Montreal Refinery. This refinery has the same refining capacity as the Shell Canada refinery. In 1922, the Vega refinery came into the possession of Concordia after the company was merged with the Vega and Creditul Petrolifer under the Franco-Belgian Petrofina trust led by Léon Wenger. During the interwar period , Vega was ranked second among the Romanian refineries, after Astra Română.
