The Cape vulture has been declining steadily since at least the 1980s, when it was first categorised as Threatened. Between 1992 and 2007 the species declined by 60-70% in South Africa alone. Zambezi National Park is a national park in Zimbabwe located upstream from Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River. It was split off from Victoria Falls National Park in 1979 and is 56,000 hectares (140,000 acres) in size. The park is bisected by a road to Kazungula, dividing it into a riverine side and a Chamabonda Vlei side.
