The Grafton centre is a covered shopping centre in the east of central Cambridge, England. It is one of the three main shopping centres in Cambridge, with Lion Yard and Grand Arcade in the city's centre. The Centre dominates Fitzroy Street and Burleigh Street. The main footprint is linear, running from east to west.
The Corn Exchange was built in the 19th century and the northeast side consisted of small shops and inns. In the 20th century, the character of the street was completely changed through the development of the Lion Yard shopping centre, the associated multi-storey car park, and a hotel.

The Lion Yard shopping centre is to the northeast. The Cambridge Tourist Information Centre is located in Wheeler Street. [4] The building dates from 1884 and was designed by the architect G. MacDonell. It was once the main city library, but this moved into Lion Yard in 1975. The building has a small but attractive domed reading room.
