Whitby Town Football Club is an English football club based in Whitby, North Yorkshire. The club participates in the Northern Premier League , the seventh tier of English football. Founded in 1880, Whitby are one of the oldest clubs from the North Riding of Yorkshire .

Whitby Town F.C. was founded as Streaneshalch Football Club in October 1880, [1] soon after its foundation the club changed its name to Whitby Church Temperance. The name was changed in late 1882 to Whitby Football Club and continued to play friendly games as well as competing in the Scarborough & East Riding County Cup.
In September 2023, he joined Northern Football League side West Auckland Town. [16] In December 2023, he signed for Northern Premier League side Whitby Town. [17] At the end of the season, Walker signed a new contract with Whitby. [18] On 4 February 2025, Walker joined National League North club Scarborough Athletic for an undisclosed fee. [19]
Upon completion of the 1998 S-League season, he returned to England and joined Whitby Town where he spent six seasons, making a total of 237 appearances scoring 15 goals. Dixon joined Gainsborough Trinity at the start of the 2004–05 season [ 1 ] but his stay was brief, moving on to Ossett Town in October 2004. [ 2 ]
