If so, I can answer any questions you may have. 2. TechnicalJuggernaut6. • 2 yr. ago. The equivalent of a GS-12 is a FV-H, I believe. 1. rhd9b. • 2 yr. ago. For some reason the FV scale goes higher than GS.
The pay scales are much better than GS. If you have a job where there is an equivalent function at the FAA, you can likely make much more money at FAA. Especially at the high end, where it's possible to make a full $30k more annually than the highest GS15, even without being a manager or executive. as a former USMC RADAR controller, that tried ...
They can match your pay as close as the I band max pay. For a promotion to J or higher, that will be subject to what the position allows. An I-band is a GS13/14 equivalent. It's no different from TSA. K-band are the GS15 equivalent in pay. SV pay scale for FAA is better than TSA.
The FAA "core compensation plan" uses a "band" system, with pay bands denoted by letters (A through M) instead of numbers (1-15) like in the GS pay scale. The band system does not have in-band steps like the GS pay scale, so what you will or won't earn is not as well defined. There are no guaranteed pay bumps other than the annual raise all ...
It depends on the job series. IIRC, entry level engineers with masters could come in as H, others would come in as G. Best strategy is come in as a high G (with same salary as you would get as H), so you can get one more promotion increase. What letter pay band are entry-level FAA employees with a Master's degree or higher eligible for in terms ...
The NH designation means it’s in the AcqDemo. Pretty much NH-03 is what GS 12-13 are paywise, NH-04 is GS 14-15. Sometimes organizations set control points in these ranges, all depends on the local operating rules. You won’t get steps like the GS scale, but you should be able to make your way through the scale much faster than as a GS.
It says the PayScale & Grade is "FV F - J" and it is for the Department Of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration. Is this not the same as a GS? Would it be more difficult to move back into the GS Scale later (Scheduled PCS coming up) if I went into this grade? I am just a bit confused as to what exactly this grade and pay scale means. 1.
This chart is from last year, there was about a 4.1% raise starting Jan 1 2023. There is also a locality pay bump so point sixty five isn’t totally accurate but will be close enough. I’m in Fort Worth Texas and the AG (academy grad) pay is $55,258 and CPC (certified professional controller) min pay is $90,124 (level 6).
2019 FAA Pay band Chart Released. Have you seen the new Pay Chart for Air Traffic Controllers? I was messing around and stuck this to my manager door, he thought it was so funny he made it an R and I. As annoyed about this shutdown as I am, this shit gave me a good ass laugh bruh.
From GS-9, you can apply to FV-F (typically the GS-9 equivalent) or FV-G (GS-11). 2. rwhelser. • 1 yr. ago. When looking at vacancies look for the qualifications section. It’ll tell you the TIG and specialized experience requirements. It’ll include the GS equivalent. 2. true.
