I know it may not seem like a big deal because I have over 100 subscribers, however, I am a bit cautious at the fact that YouTube itself may have a part to play in this. Before this time I had been gaining subscribers consistently (around 1 to 2 subscribers a day), which is exactly why I'm curious as to whether or not my sub count is frozen...

During the day people can also unsubscribe, and other can find your channel and subscribe. And yes, sometimes it is oddly timed around the same time so you see -1 and then back to the previous number. I had lost one once, and when I checked up my messages I had noticed it jumped up a fair bit. YouTube being YouTube.

Sometimes we answer our own questions. For example, right now I am lagging behind by 7 subs. When I first log on to YouTube where it asks me which account I want to use, it shows 7 subs more than my actual sub box. My subs haven't updated all day and that might be the same issue with you. Be patient, YouTube will update in time.

Just to be clear, if you're a subscriber or view your own channel in "subscribed view", there's no sub count next to the subscribe button. That's only on channels that you're not subscribed to. However there should always be a count on the about page, but it has moved, it's now above the text.

So I was looking at my subscriber count in my analytics and noticed how many people have unsubbed from my channel, which I dont care about specifically but I realised if nobody unsubscribed from me I'd have 687 subscribers, which actually isn't as many as I'd thought, Also I thought the place...

In their case they have pretty low views in relation to subscriber count. I think a good number of their subscribers might be from other kid toy channels. Theres probably over half million kid toy channels out there. And i have noticed a lot of them are fairly new and do a lot of youtube social interaction with each other to grow subscribers.

Mu subscriber count stays the same on Analytics for weeks -- unchanged and same number. It says "25,545" -- same number for weeks now. But my channel shows "25.8K".

I agree with point #1 heavily. With concepts out there like subscriber burn; your total number of subscribers doesn't matter if a good portion of them are burnt out. There's some youtubers who been here a long time and have 500k + subs but they're getting 7-15k views a video.

  10. What are the possible reasons for (-) minus subscribers - YTtalk

    yttalk.com/threads/what-are-the-possible-reasons-for-minus-subscribers.210361

For the time being, YouTube Analytics only captures subscribes and unsubscribes from active users, which is a more meaningful metric for tracking engagement with your channel than the public counts. We want your subscriber counts and all other analytics to be consistent and accurate, so thanks for bearing with us as we make these improvements.

  11. Why do some people hide subscriber count? | YouTube Forum -...

    yttalk.com/threads/why-do-some-people-hide-subscriber-count.209349

The simple reason is I don't want people to judge me on my subscriber count. Most people, if they go on two identical channels, one with 10 subs the other with 1,000, they would be more likely to subscribe to the 1,000 channel. That's why I hide mine. I will probably show my subscriber count at some point, but for now it is remaining hidden.
