Plano Balloon Festival is held each September at Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve in the city of Plano, Texas. It is one of the city's largest celebrations. [1] The festival was cancelled in 2018 because of heavy rains and flooding. It was also cancelled in 2020 and 2021 from the COVID-19 pandemic. It returned in September 2022.
The Plano campus covers an area of 140 acres (0.219 sq mi; 0.567 km 2), and includes a 7,000-seat worship center, a school offering Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 (including a football stadium, a baseball field, and a fieldhouse for basketball and volleyball), a fitness center with outdoor sports fields, a café, a library, and a bookstore.

Hot air balloon festivals are held annually in many places throughout the year, allowing hot air balloons operators to gather- as well as for the general public- to participate in various activities.They can include races; evening "night glows", or "glowdeos" (in the US), in which balloons are fired while remaining tethered to the ground; and rides.
The orchestra was founded in 1983 as the Plano Chamber Orchestra; its name was changed to Symphony in 1998. [1] [2] In November 2021, the Symphony received its largest-ever donation of $410,000, which will be used for various improvements including upgrading ticketing systems, creating a new strings section, and underwriting the Symphony's 2022-23 40th anniversary season.
