Plymouth Meeting is a census-designated place (CDP) that straddles Plymouth and Whitemarsh Townships in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The settlement was founded in 1686. The population of Plymouth Meeting was 6,177 in the 2010 census.
Plymouth Meeting Historic District is a national historic district that straddles Plymouth and Whitemarsh Townships in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The adjacent Cold Point Historic District is north of it. The district encompasses 200 acres (81 ha) and includes 56 contributing buildings in the historic core of Plymouth Meeting.
As of 2018, there were 88.36 miles (142.20 km) of public roads in Whitemarsh Township, of which 3.70 miles (5.95 km) were maintained by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC), 25.03 miles (40.28 km) were maintained by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and 59.63 miles (95.97 km) were maintained by the township. The Plymouth Meeting Mall was designed by Victor Gruen and built by The Rouse Company in 1966, it was the third fully enclosed shopping mall in the Philadelphia area. The original two anchor stores were Strawbridge & Clothier and Lit Brothers. The One Plymouth Meeting office tower was added on an outparcel in 1969. [1]

[6] Today, the site of Milford Mills lies beneath the 530-acre (2.1 km 2) Marsh Creek Lake, and is part of a water management project operated by the Chester County Water Resources Authority and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
