The Dundee Historic Village is a historic district located in Dundee, Michigan.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 20, 1990. [1] This area is commonly referred to as the downtown area of Dundee and was settled almost concurrently with the Old Village Historic District in nearby Monroe.
The River Raisin National Battlefield Park is an authorized addition to the United States National Park System under the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009. Located along the River Raisin, the park, which is still under construction, will commemorate the Battle of Frenchtown during the War of 1812.

The Dundee mill, also known as the Alfred Wilkerson Grist Mill, is located at 242 Toledo Street in Dundee, Michigan. [35] A sawmill , constructed in 1828, originally stood on this site. [ 35 ] In 1846, Alfred Wilkerson built the nearby log dam, and in 1848-49 he replaced the earlier sawmill with the current structure, a gristmill . [ 36 ]
West Dundee was incorporated in 1867 and East Dundee followed four years later. The Illinois Iron and Bolt Company opened in Carpentersville in 1870. Dairy production became an important source of income for East and West Dundee in the 1870s. The period presently reflected in the historic district stretches from 1870 to the 1920s. [1]
