Europop refers to a style of pop music that originated in Europe and is generally more dance and trance oriented than American pop. Europop includes Italo disco and later Eurodance . The Europop genre originated in the late 1970s and topped the charts throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

Europop (also spelled Euro pop) is a style of pop music that originated in Europe during the mid-to-late 1960s [2] and developed to today's form throughout the late 1970s. Europop topped the charts throughout the 1980s and 1990s, with revivals and moderate degrees of appreciation in the 2000s.
In 2001, the group released the single "I'm In Heaven (When You Kiss Me)", which was moderately successful in parts of Europe. In 2002, "Set Me Free" was released as a single but was not successful. In 2003, the DJ and producer ATB successfully took the band's record label to court, and the band was forced to formally drop the ATC initials. [2]
