Runaway Bay is a town in Saint Ann Parish on the northern coast of Jamaica and is considered one of the most naturally beautiful places on the island. It is a notable tourist destination located 16 km (9.9 mi) west of Ocho Rios, [1] and slightly east of Discovery Bay, where Christopher Columbus landed in 1494.
Independence Park is a sports and cultural complex [1] in Kingston, Jamaica built for the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. It houses a variety of sports facilities. A statue of Bob Marley marks the entrance to the site. [1] The main sports venue at the complex is the National Stadium.
From 1995 to 2003, the ground was a regular venue for one-day matches, hosting 22 matches during that period. In April 2010, Jamaica played Ireland and Canada in the last two one-day matches to be played at the ground. [3] The ground has also played host to five first-class matches for Jamaica in the Regional Four Day Competition. [4]

It was built by the Government of Jamaica at a cost of $10 million. [2] It occupies 22 acres (89,000 m 2 ) at the northern end of Negril beach and has 280 rooms in two-story buildings. Frenchman's Cove Resort, previously known as Frenchman's Cove Hotel, is a hotel located on a 42-acre (170,000 m 2) property near Port Antonio on Jamaica's northeastern shore. It is considered to be the world's first all-inclusive hotel [ 1 ] with a history indicating its role in Jamaica's tourism industry.
