Kadet Remaja Sekolah was founded by Muhammad Thani Bin Sha'aban at SM Raja Abdullah, Jalan Kepong, Kuala Lumpur.Initially, this organisation was known as Kadet Putera Islam Malaysia (literally: Malaysian Islamic Male Students Cadet Corps) and its membership was open to SM Raja Abdullah Islam Students' Association.
The association is divided in six section according to age: [2] Pandu Puteri Kelip-Kelip (Firefly Guides) - ages 4 to 8; Pandu Puteri Tunas (Brownie Guides) - ages 9 to 12; Pandu Puteri Remaja (Junior Guides) - ages 13 to 15
Students can choose to participate from several academic-based societies from Malay Language Society to Mathematics Society to Islamic Society. Amongst the uniform bodies that are offered by the school includes Association of Scouts of Malaysia, Malaysian Red Crescent Society, Tunas Kadet Remaja Sekolah and Pergerakan Puteri Islam Malaysia.
Pandu Puteri Tunas/Brownie Guides - girls only; Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia; Tunas Kadet Remaja Sekolah (TKRS) Persatuan Puteri Islam Malaysia (PPIM) - strictly only for Muslim girls. Every Wednesday, pupils that involved in uniformed bodies are encouraged to wear their uniform in full-dress (aside with their normal school uniforms worn everyday)

The Royal Brunei Police Cadet Corps (Malay: Pasukan Kadet Polis Diraja Brunei) is a youth movement in Brunei Darussalam. The membership requires students or teachers from a secondary public or private schools from Brunei Darussalam , or a volunteer with status as a permanent residents or Bruneian nationality.

Once a candidate completes and passes the Pre-King's Scout Assessment Camp (Malay: Kem Ujian Pra-Penarafan Pengakap Raja), he/she is recognised and allowed to wear a royal yellow Senior Scout's Cord (Malay: Rambu Pengakap Remaja), and therefore has all the requirements ready for King's Scout certification.
