Eva Anna Paula Hitler (née Braun; 6 February 1912 – 30 April 1945) was a German photographer who was the longtime companion and briefly the wife of Adolf Hitler. Braun met Hitler in Munich when she was a 17-year-old assistant and model for his personal photographer, Heinrich Hoffmann. She began seeing Hitler often about two years later.
Issued by the C.H. Beck publishing house (Munich), Görtemaker's book Eva Braun: Leben mit Hitler (Eva Braun: Life with Hitler) was the first scholarly biography of Braun and has been translated into 11 languages. Several, lighter works by other authors on Hitler's mistress had preceded the new tome.

Hans Otto Georg Hermann Fegelein (30 October 1906 – 28 April 1945) was a high-ranking commander in the Waffen-SS of Nazi Germany.He was a member of Adolf Hitler's entourage and brother-in-law to Eva Braun through his marriage to her sister Gretl.
