The Trax, on the same run I get 35MPGs, the wife's 07 Bettle 30MPGs, the 09 G8 GT 6.0 L76 (Holden VE SSV) is at about 27, last one the 20 Duramax 2500 HD on the same run and speed 18~19MPGs. Strange is, the Impala with 20 years, almost at 200,000 miles, and is a much bigger car makes almost the same MPGs as the Trax.
To answer your questions: 1) With the defeat cable installed, the start/stop light on the center console remains off and the switch does not function - the engine is always on. 2) With the cable installed, car off, I opened the hood and then, started the engine. The "Hood Open" alert immediately came on.

Temperature control issue. So recently the temperature control dial stopped working on my 2016 Trax and it was always blowing heat. I took the glove box out and tore apart under the dash on the passenger side to gain access to the gears attached to the control that blends the hot/cold air. I manually rotated the gear so that cold air would blow.

The Chevy Trax showed up to SEMA 2016 ready to take on some trails ! It's called the "Trax Active Concept". Sporting a lifted suspension, wider track, some 18" rims wrapped in some grippy all-terrain tires. Front and rear bumpers were redesigned to give more of a rugged, tough kind of look. Throw some fender flares and it's like the cherry on top !
2025 trax 0w20 oil. So I just traded in my 2024 trax with 23,000 flawless miles on a 2025 trax. Both 2RS models with same options. The new one is black and the old one was white. So I noticed that the 2025 takes 0w20 engine oil and my previous 2024 used 5w30.
