The Scottish Socialist Party (SSP) is a left-wing [6] [7] political party campaigning for the establishment of an independent socialist Scottish republic. The party was founded in 1998. [ 8 ] It campaigns for Scottish independence, against cuts to public services and welfare and for democratic public ownership of the economy.
