Sir Amaopusenibo Siminalayi Fubara-(born 28 January 1975), is the Governor of Rivers State, Nigeria. He previously served as Accountant general [ 1 ] of the Rivers State , Nigeria. He is an ethnic Ibani-Ijaw, and was born in Opobo Town in the Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The governor of Rivers State is the chief executive of the Rivers State government and is one of the governors of the thirty-six states of Nigeria.The governor is supported by the deputy governor, both popularly elected for a term of four years (maximum of two terms).
