The district developed between about 1826 and 1961 and includes notable examples of Federal , Greek Revival , Italianate , Stick Style , Prairie School , and Bungalow / American Craftsman -style architecture.
The Frank Littleton Round Barn, also known as the "Littleton-Pulliam Round Barn", is a round barn near Mount Comfort, Indiana, United States. Built in 1903, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. [1] At 102 feet in diameter, it is the largest round barn ever built in the state.

Since the first years after Greencastle was platted in the early nineteenth century, the land included in the district has been the center of commerce and government for the area.
