Automotive Aftermarket Adhesives: LORD Fusor Automotive Aftermarket Adhesives are used to return vehicles to pre-accident condition. These adhesives are formulated to repair all types of automotive substrates. The LORD Fusor line includes adhesives for bonding, metals and plastics, seam sealers and acoustical foams. [20]
University of Wisconsin-Madison A group at Wisconsin-Madison has been running a very large, funded, fusor program since 1991. [4] Turkish Atomic Energy Authority In 2013 this team built a 30 cm fusor at the Saraykoy Nuclear Research and Training center in Turkey. This fusor can reach 85 kV and do deuterium fusion, producing 2.4 × 10 4 neutrons ...
Adhesive bonding with organic materials such as BCB or SU-8 has simple process properties and the ability to form high-aspect ratio micro structures. The bonding procedure is based on polymerization reaction of organic molecules to form long polymer chains during annealing. This cross-link reaction forms BCB and SU-8 to a solid polymer layer. [3]
A Farnsworth–Hirsch fusor is the most common type of fusor. [1] This design came from work by Philo T. Farnsworth in 1964 and Robert L. Hirsch in 1967. [ 2 ] [ 3 ] A variant type of fusor had been proposed previously by William Elmore, James L. Tuck , and Ken Watson at the Los Alamos National Laboratory [ 4 ] though they never built the machine.
Structural adhesives can be used to create load-bearing joints. Although many adhesives such as sealants, hot melt adhesives and even acrylic foam tapes can bear loads, the term structural adhesive is typically used where joints will have lap shear strength greater than 1450 psi. [3] The different types of structural adhesives are: Epoxies
Adhesive bonding is a joining technique used in the manufacture and repair of a wide range of products. Along with welding and soldering, adhesive bonding is one of the basic joining processes. In this technique, components are bonded together using adhesives. The broad range of types of adhesives available allows numerous materials to be ...
