As someone who had Spectrum even before working there, the cellphone service is great and the price is kinda unbeatable. Right now there's also promotions going on, if you need two lines the second line is free for a year. Each line by itself is just 29.99.
Spectrum Mobile is the worst. Their customer service department is one of the most incompetent. I have spoken to them on multiple occasions regarding errors made on our account. Please note that these happened all over the span of less than 12 months.
Spectrum Suck Arse. First off I have T-mobile. 5 bars in side my home in Montevideo MN. When I ordered Spectrum I also had their internet. Then I got their s23 ultra. 1 bar at lte 4. While my T-mobile phone had 5 bars Ultra 5 G. Contacted Spectrum they could not give me a reason why my service was so poor, after hours with technical support.
Tmobile was a nightmare to deal with and a nightmare to leave, but switching to Spectrum has saved me $350/m (I wish I was joking) and at Spectrum you're going to have a great in store experience and usually a lot of really good help if you ever need it. As for internet, tmobile is a joke and their internet is the punchline.
rachh90. • 4 yr. ago. yes the service is good. it runs off verizon towers. the advertised price includes a $20 bundle discount for being an internet customer. if you canceled internet but kept mobile it would be $20 more per month per line. it’s a good deal at $14 per gig or $45 unlimited. if you are on wifi most of the time do the by the ...
Spectrum Mobile has 20GB of deprioritized Data and then throttled after 20GB. Verizon Plans typically have premium data to a point, and then unlimited deprioritized data after you use your premium data allotment. So coverage should be the same If you define coverage as bars on phone, but the experience will be different on LTE.
Spectrum mobile phone buyout plan. As of May 10 Spectrum mobile will pay up to $500 to buyout a phone contract you have with another carrier. For each new line you add. You have to keep that phone active for 12 months with SM or you have to pay back the buyout (I think). SM doesn’t pay the other carrier directly.
Spectrum Mobile claims it has pay as you go rates for international usage with no additional fees. It seems straightforward, as long as you have any plan with them, you can use your phone without any additional activation in other countries. The countries I'm looking at are in Europe, they're all $10/GB and reasonable rates for the occasional ...
Takes a couple of minutes to find network once you land though, so don’t be afraid if you don’t have any bars for a few minutes. Before you travel internationally with your Spectrum Mobile account you need to call into mobile support to enable internationally roaming on all your lines since it is disabled by default.
Consumer Cellular is far better. Spectrum stores can not help with your phone issues. Spectrum Mobile is by far the worse. When you try close your account, there is no paper trail. Nothing. When I switched carriers I got a new phone and NEW number as I did not want to deal these pricks. Stay away from Spectrum mobile.
