All packings were simultaneously introduced in both menthol and non-menthol varieties. Unlike with most other brands, menthol represents 40–55% of the total sales of Virginia Slims (vs. 25–35% for other brands). In all, there have been 11 packings introduced or test marketed in the U.S., of which seven remain on the market.
