Meadow Lane is a football stadium in Nottingham, England. It is the home ground of Notts County, who have played there since it opened in 1910. The stadium was also home to Notts County Ladies F.C. from 2014 to 2017. It currently has an all-seated capacity of 19,841 for EFL games, [2] although its maximum capacity is 20,229. [3]
Major redevelopment work to convert Meadow Lane into an all-seater stadium occurred in the 1990s, [125] with three stands rebuilt during one summer in 1992. The original main stand stood until 1994 when it too was replaced. [64] In 2019, the stadium held a maximum capacity of 19,841 spectators for football matches, with 20,211 seats overall. [126]
The stadium was a venue when England hosted UEFA Euro 1996, and is only three hundred yards (270 m) away from Meadow Lane, home of Forest's neighbouring club Notts County; the two grounds are the closest professional football stadiums in England and the second-closest in the United Kingdom, after the grounds of Dundee and Dundee United.
